Sarf has written an article which can be found here, entitled “HOWTO: Shrink a Macro” which details ways to make your macros smaller (use less letters). Use /run when you want to further shrink the size of your macro. Additionally, you will see the command ‘/run’ used in several of these macros – ‘/run’ is an alias for ‘/script’ and can be used interchangeably. I’m merely showing you which, in the sea of macros, helps you become a lazier hunter. I didn’t invent the internet nor the macro system. There are limitations with this setup, so it may not be for you, and I will try to point out the limitations when I come to them. For players not adept at mouse use (and for some who are), hitting hotkeys can be daunting but ultimately MUCH more effective, especially when you should be using the mouse to select targets and mouse look only. I’m of the school of thought that says the easier your user interface is to manipulate, the more you will use it, the quicker you can learn changes to it and the more you can focus on the tactical situation of the battlefield rather than the micromanagement of millions of buttons. raidinfo - shows remaining time on saved raid instances.The fact that I am a lazy, lazy, LAZY player means I set these up the bomb, requiring minimal effort to use. The raid leader will get feedback in 30 seconds on all the players who were not ready or who did not respond. readycheck - A ready check sends an "Are you ready?" Yes/No dialogue to all players in the raid. This is only available to raid leaders and assistants. mute, /squelch, /unvoice, /unmute, /unsquelch, /voice - Change a player's permission. moderate - Toggle moderation on a channel. mod, /moderator, /unmod, /unmoderator - Change a player's moderator status. leave, /chatleave, /chatexit - Leave a channel (or all channels). ckick - "/ckick ChannelName CharacterName" cinvite, /chatinvite - Invite a player to a channel. chatlist, /chatwho, /chatinfo - List channels, or channel members. ban, /unban - Ban/unban a player from a channel. afk, /dnd - Set your Away From Keyboard or Do Not Disturb flags. announcements, /ann - Toggle join/leave announcements on a channel. #, /c, /csay - Send text to channel # (e.g. Many players consider this to be "spam" so use it sparingly. yell (alias '/y') - Yells a message to the area around. ![]() stand - When sitting, your character will stand. sit - When standing, your character will sit. say (alias '/s') - Send a message to people near you. ![]() You can scroll through all the people that whispered you recently by typing on the tab key. r - Reply to the last tell/private message. Using /random will send the text to your party or raid wherever they are instead of the local area around the player that used /random. This is very useful to determine who's going to have the right to loot a chest or harvest a resource. random (alias '/roll') - Generates a random number between X and Y, if Y isn't specified, then it will generate a number between 1 and X. pvp - Enable your character to be attacked by other players in Player vs. played - Reports the amount of time you've played the game with that character. party (alias '/p') - Sends a message to party chat. logout (alias '/camp') - Log out of the game. invite (alias '/inv') - Invite a player to your party. The Ignore command will also ignore emotes. follow (alias '/f') - Target a player and type this. chathelp (alias '/chat') - List of chat commands. tell (alias '/t') - Send a player a private message.
